Mini Greens Workshop
Community Center 4 Ridge Road, Pleasant Ridge, MI, United StatesJunior Garden Club Event – Kid-sized Greens Workshop! We will create taper candle centerpieces. Taper candles surrounded by wintery greens, sparkly decorations and, of course, twinkle lights. Parents are welcome to join in the fun and can purchase a kit for $15. There will also be TWO adult baskets to be raffled off at the event.

Each child will get a chance to plant 6 different herbs in eggshells. Our seedlings should be ready to plant in your garden or a pot come spring.

We welcome environmental planners from the Clinton River Watershed Council to share how we can capture storm water, save money on our water bills and use it in our gardens and lawns using Rain Barrels and Rain Gardens. Rain Garden design, plant choices and resources will be reviewed and discussed. A Pleasant Ridge Garden that participated in the Oakland County Rainsmart program will be featured.

Wildflower Garden Tour / Rock Painting
Community Center 4 Ridge Road, Pleasant Ridge, MI, United StatesJunior Garden Club Event – We will take our junior gardeners on a tour of the Pleasant Ridge wildflower garden (located just behind City Hall). After which, each child will get to paint 2 rocks. One to take home and one to leave in the wildflower garden.
